The short answer

Most ships dock at Tourlos, about 2 miles from town. The easiest way in is the Sea Bus boat (€2.50, about every 30 minutes). Mykonos pays the top Greek cruise fee (€20 in summer), and wind can cancel the boat to Delos.

Wise counsel

What goes wrong, and how to avoid it

Beware

  • Strong wind (meltemi) can cancel Delos boats.
  • Crowded lanes when several ships are in.
  • Delos has no shade and uneven ground.
  • Fewer SeaBus departures after 17:30.

Do this

  • Delos is closed on some holidays; check hh.gr announcements.
  • Bring a hat and water for Delos.
  • The SeaBus is cash-friendly; bring small euros.
Practical matters

Fees, money and access

Rules & fees

  • Greek cruise passenger fee (per person, per port, from 21 July 2025): Santorini and Mykonos €20 (1 Jun–30 Sep), €12 (Apr–May and Oct), €4 (Nov–Mar). All other Greek ports: €5 / €3 / €1 for the same seasons. Most lines add it to your onboard bill. MSC says it charges only guests who go ashore; other lines may charge everyone.
  • Delos site €20; Delos boat €20 adult.

Accessibility

The SeaBus has wheelchair access, and the main waterfront streets in town are usable. The back lanes have steps. Delos is rough ground and not wheelchair friendly.

Money

Euro (€). Cards are widely accepted. Carry some small euro cash for buses, small boats, water and tips.
